Paul J. Heidema has gained experience in training, coaching and consulting in Agile/Scrum methods since 2008. Paul has recently become a partner with Berteig Consulting Inc. as he is highly committed to helping individuals, teams and organizations apply Agile/Scrum.

Training Experience
Agile/Scrum Training, 2008 - Present
Paul has extensive experience in training ScrumMasters in public and in-house seminars. Some of these were done with Mishkin Berteig (Certified Scrum Trainer) and others were by Paul alone. Paul has trained using Scrum, Lean, OpenAgile, and Kanban, and has received highly favourable feedback of his training style and breadth of knowledge.

Team Training, 2008 - Present
Paul has had many opportunities to train teams in the methods of Agile/Scrum. These teams ranged from beginners to experienced, and from software teams building new products to non-profit social development teams.

Coaching Experience
Individual Coaching, 2008 - Present
Paul has helped many individuals become proficient Agile/Scrum team members, ScrumMasters, and Product Owners. This is achieved by helping individuals overcome obstacles, adopt a learning mode, and begin to understand their strengths and capabilities.

Team Coaching, 2009 - Present
Paul has aided, guided and walked with teams to help them get through the four stages of team development. He has also helped those teams to become more unified, productive, and performing.

Management Coaching, 2010 - Present
Paul has worked with all levels of management to get a vision for Agile/Scrum transformation within their organization. This work includes how to be an effective manager in an organization without managing the Agile/Scrum team.

Paul has been asked to consult and share experience on how to overcome organizational obstacles when trying to change culture.
