The Infonium team recently participated in OpenAgile training under the direction of Berteig Consulting's VP of Training Services, Paul Heidema. OpenAgile is a corporate training strategy that places learning as the key to productivity, progress and success, the purpose of which is to create an environment where people are free to express their true nature and capacities as human beings and to contribute to the betterment of their organization.

When asked about his experience working with the Infonium team, Paul said, "When I started training and coaching Infonium, I was struck by the amount of knowledge in the room. Infonium has an extremely bright and talented group of people". The main challenge at Infonium was the need to increase communication. Paul worked closely with the team over several weeks to break down the barriers to communication, which included creative exercises intended to help build trust. Paul says, "I showed them how the OpenAgile(TM) framework creates both freedom to explore more efficient approaches to working as well as the discipline to make incremental progress from week to week".

The results of this training have been profound. Paul says, "Today the team is more confident than before. They collaborate in new ways and they have even begun to help clear out each other's obstacles. They have improved efficiency and productivity. I've observed them sharing the workload in a spirit of collaboration and friendship. It has been an honour to be a part of this transformation and I look forward to seeing the outstanding accomplishments I am confident Infonium will make towards enabling healthcare transformation across Canada".
